There was something on the news recently about a guy who hacked into Ebay's main computer/server and got tons of account info. Ebay denies it but there is a lot of proof that this did in fact happen and they have yet to catch the person. Add to that the fact that people are getting VERY legit looking "ebay" emails and stuff that are really scams and I'd be kinda wary. Especially since he sent you the same exact thing in response to like 2 or 3 of your emails...I'd have told this guy to go shove it and looked elsewhere.

Hello, I received an E-mail from E-bay saying that the high bidder did not make the purchase and that the items were still available. Let me know if they are still available. Just curious as to why the high bidder didn't follow through on the purchase..
Them;
Hi there,
Thank you for the e-mail! Below,I will explain a little bit about this
second chance offer. I've made this second chance offer to you because
the winning bidder failed to buy the item. There are many bidders
who placed a bid on the auction just for fun or to raise the price
for their own interest.
Now , for start, I will explain you a few steps to finish this
transaction :
1.The final sales price would be your last bid amount, insured shipping

included($400.00).
information:

your complete shipping address
Once I'll have this information , I will pass them to eBay along with
Hi Bill,

I will contact eBay and they'll send you an invoice with the payment
instructions. In the email from ebay you'll see the protection that
you will be offered! You'll also receive important guidelines and
instructions from them. I'll forward your details to eBay and after
that they'll email you the info about the deal ! I live in US but
I'm currently in United Kingdom on a vacation and I'll need the payment
sent to me here in UK (eBay will include in their email my full name
and address from here in UK) ! About the shipping you don't have nothing
to worry about because I have signed a contract with UPS and they'll
take care of my deliveries (also you don't need to pay any shipping fees) !
The item will be sent as soon as I confirm over the phone to UPS to send it !
You'll receive the item from my name and address in US. I'll give you the
tracking # from the delivery after the payment has been made and verified.

Let me know if you'll receive the email from eBay !

All the best!

From Ebay;
Instructions(please read carefully) :

Complete your eBay transaction in 5 easy steps:

Buyer and seller agree on the transaction terms and a selling price.
Seller contacts eBay with the transaction details, eBay accepts the transaction and offers purchase protection to the buyer (if the transaction is declined, no further action is required from either the buyer or the seller).
The buyer sends payment and the seller receives it. After the payment is received, the seller must notify eBay. The Buyer will send the payment details directly to the seller`s email address. The seller has three business days to send the buyer and eBay the tracking number of the shipment. If no tracking number is provided, a full refund is immediately sent to the buyer.
Buyer receives the merchandise and has five days to inspect it. If it is complete and as described, the buyer should accept the merchandise. If he refuses the merchandise, the buyer must ship the merchandise back to the seller within three business days.
After the inspection period is over, the buyer must contact eBay with the result of the inspection. If the buyer refuses the merchandise, the refund will be sent to the buyer after the tracking number for the returned shipment is verified.

Attention: Sending the payment by any other method will void this transaction and your right to refund.

Details and instructions of this transaction:

The following item(s) are clear for eBay item insurance policy:

Proxima DP6500x DLP Projector Light Bulb Item number: 140107189578

Buyer shipping address:
3155 44 Ave. Nw

Payment instructions:

The payment has to be made using Western Union in collaboration with PayPal and eBay Inc. We would like to confirm to you again that our seller , Alice Wilson is an registered eBay Seller. Payment via Western Union are guaranteed. Your dealing with Alice Wilson , covered under PayPal Seller Protection eBay Fraud Protection Plan (e-Bay SafeHarbor) . After you will make the payment via Western Union please contact the seller at this e-mail address:
However, Western Union Money Transfer is designed mainly for sending cash to friends and family in need, so telling them you are sending the money to an eBay seller will prevent your money transfer to go through and you will be unable to complete this transaction.

Several IDs and utility bills are required before the funds are paid. Therefore, no
one else but your seller can pick up the money. Your payments cannot be
lost in the mail, like money orders or checks.

Because the fee to send a Western Union Money Transfer is high, compared to other methods of payment, we have arranged with the seller to compensate for half of this fee (i.e. if it costs you $100 to send the payment, take $50 from the amount insured and send the balance).

Once the payment was sent, email the seller the following information:

10 digit MTCN # (Western Union):

Exact sender name on file with Western Union:

Your street address on file with Western Union:

City and country where you sent the money from:

Amount sent:

Then wait for the confirmation the payment was received. Within 3
business days, you will receive the tracking number for your
merchandise.

The seller is a registered SquareTrade Member. Buy with confidence!

Free coverage up to US $5,000.00 .Guaranteed by eBay !

From them;
eBay has told me that they've sent you all the instruction via email on how to
proceed with this transaction.
How you saw in the eBay invoice I have my ebay account a lot of money
for my buyers protection. If something will go wrong(i don't think so) you will
get a full refund. I will pay the shipping and you must pay just half of money
transfer fees. I think that it's not a problem for you. What I want to ask you ,
when you send the money please don't declare the money for goods or any kind of
transactions because is a new UK government policy regarding money laundering and
it's possible to don't let you send the money or to block the transfer if you
declare the money for goods or transactions, so it's better to declare the money
as a loan for a relative or something like this. I don't think that you will have
problems but anyway is better to inform you about all of these. I will wait your
email with the Western Union details. As soon as I will receive and verify them
I will email you a tracking number so you can check the package online.

All the best!

as far as messing with him i would prolly just give him some fake info to see how much bullshit this guy tries to dish out, and atleast report it to ebay so they can block that email address from ebay, which wont do much but it might help somebody else out down the road
