You might have some trouble finding much of that stuff going on, at least compared to the cities.

I also tried out a place called "Monty's" - both very nice martini bars!

FM opera company only does 2 shows a year, check with Festival concert Hall at NDSU for dates. Lots of little plays happening- FMCT, Main Ave Theatre, and several small troopes have shows. usually 1 to 2 a month. Lots of area bands plying all the time. check places like the Red Raven Esperesso Parlor, Plains Art Museum, Upfront Gallerie, HoDo, and Zambros.

There is a bunch of little things happening all the time, just have to dig for it usually.

For fine dinning I would suggest Sarellos, the best resturaunt in town. Jazz and blues, depends on your preferences, but very lacking.

Although I don't mind a little jazz if I'm in the right mood, it's just not thing, so I don't really pay too much attention as the when/where such events will be taking place.

As far as opera? You may be SOL on that, there's always plays and things like that going on in fargo in the summer but not opera as far as I know.
