My family and I were driving on 32nd Ave (heading east) yesterday and when we got to the 25th St Intersection a group of 5 black kids (the problem isn't that they are black, I've seen plenty dumb white kids as well....I'm just pointing out the facts in this case) procede to cross traffic on 25th Street. The first kid timed it so the car traveling across the intersection would have to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting him, then the next 4 shot across in front of 2 oncoming cars and DID cause an accident. As soon as they got across the street they just turned around and pointed at the accident and started laughing/high-fiving each other before they took off on their bikes again. Then as I'm getting ready to turn towards my house (22nd Street) the little fucks zip across the road in front of me (I figured that was coming of course so I avoided them). I tell ya, it was all I could do to NOT accelerate through the intersection.

I did some dumb stuff when I was younger, but damn, if my parents had ever heard of me doing anything like that on purpose I still wouldn't be able to sit down to this day.

I just read somewhere that the cities are number two, only to Portland, in having the most amount of people who commute to work, by bicycle, in the US. When you add in the fact QBP is out the cities. (Quality Bicycle Products the largest distributer of bicycle parts, nearly evershop has there 1000 page cataloug on there front counter) it seems to make sense. Eriks bike shop is a top 5 distrubuter for Specialized, and Cannondale as well and Penn cycle was/is a 1 or 2 Trek from what I understand in the US.

We were riding around hopping onto benches, grinding, flatland tricks, and I have been ticketed 5 times for riding on the sidewalk/destruction of property. This time a cop rolled by and said something, we (of course) responded with middle fingers and riding away. Then a K-9 unit ripped my buddy Rod off his bike, so we all pretty much gave up. I was cuffed and taken to the holding tanks, then charged something like $130 for improper use of a vehicle and fleeing an officer.

IMO, if they take up space on the road they should have to meet the same standards as everything else on the road. Not only for other people on the road but for there own saftey. We all know what would happen in a bike and car accident. The laws should also be equally inforced on them. I can not count the number of times i have scene bike riders pedal right though a stop sign or traffic light with a cop there, I know if it was a car they would be fucked.

When I ride bike I do not go on the street unless there is no sidewalk, there are to many idiots on the road to risk my life on a pedal bike

Motorcycles are not held to the same standards as a car/truck either. It's because the vehicle is not motorized that many of those are allowed. If they get caught running a stopsign or stoplight they can be cited just like any other driver though.

And yes, you can get a DUI on a bike. My friends car got hit by a drunk guy on a bike and the cop that arrived to help him gave the guy a DUI. Rather stupid if you ask me, it's a lot safer form of transportation than driving...only person you're really going to injure is yourself. They gotta get their money somehow though.
