The bogging down seems to only happen when it's hot out, but the loss of power is still present at random times, i.e. I can start my car in the morning and it's real peppy, then later that night it has no balls and the check engine light comes on. I tried to get it looked at in Bemidji but no one can hook it up to their diagnostic scanner(my car is OBD1) :icon_scratch: .I haven't got a chance to take it to Valley Imports because I'm really low on cash and I've been busy moving in. Any ideas what it could be?

Also, does your car have the 4 pin connector? I've got a VAG-COM we can hook up if you have the 4pin->OBD2 adapter plug.

It maybe running rich and plugging that up, maybe check that out. There is quite a few quirks on the vr6, as most vw's do. Read over the Vwfixx forums http://www.vwfixx.com or the Vwvortex forums http://forums.vwvortex.com. I have found that the VWfixx forum is quite a bit more helpful, but not visited as often.
