I could be wrong but just from general knowledge i would want to believe it reduces jerkyness and dampens the clutch engagement. i don't know though. but what i want to know is does it have to be there???? will it send to much pressure to the slave without it there and blow seals? I would like to run a straight hose from master-slave to eliminate some variables but i don't like taking parts off when they are suppose to be there. has anyone ever took theirs off?? I couldn't find any info on a google search but i didn't spent to much time on it. please give me your input.
thanks

There's also a clutch fluid restricter in the slave cylinder that you can take out, doing those will make the clutch pedal feel better and also engage/disengage faster. http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html is your friend, click on drivetrain and you'll find it there.
