<![CDATA[&quot;Custom Intake&quot;]]>Well i wanted to get my car an intake but the one specified for it was $172 and i didnt want to spend alot, so i found an intake specified for a truck/SUV and put it on with some "plumbing" materials and it looks good and produces more power.
All in all took about $65 and if anything i got more power from this one than I would by the 172 one. Oh and it's by K&N I'll try to have some pics up soon.

BTW, i have been in cars that had proven to gain 5 hp, and i personally didn't feel any difference but it sounded the exact same, noise does have a lot to do with how fast it feels. Not arguing that you didn't gain power, just pointing things out.

I did more than just "drive down my street" right away when i started it i could hear a difference, and when i started driving it i knew i had gained something because i'm now gettin up to speed faster. (not as though it matters) but I'm pretty happy with the way it all came together.

Im just saying, i wouldn't claim a homemade intake making me power without some kind of proof. I don't know how there stock intake is, but most cars intake really isn't too noticable for power. It can seem faster do the excess noise from the intake also. There are also way to many variables to claim by measuring time (air temp, traction, tire pressure, road temperature, barometric pressure).

There is dyno proven results that put this mod in the 5-7whp area. Thats pretty substantial on a 200hp engine.
