Very nice website and I applaud you for trying to do something good. Y94 as a
station would have a couple of problems in promoting this event with you though...

Number one, we are primarily a station for women, and you endeavour is predominantly
male, so we might be a poor fit for this.

Second, if anybody were to visit your website, I'm quite sure we would get some
complaints from people who see your organization as one that encourages illegal
street racing. We can't take that kind of a risk, especially with the tendency of
some of your users to brag about their exploits in your forum (I saw one post from a
guy talking about "owning" another guy, plus the profanity is pretty vulgar). Some
of your users even have pictures of their cars performing illegal acts on the street
as their avatar.

Please don't misunderstand me... I like motorsports as much as the next guy, and I
cuss with the best of 'em, but our station can't be associated in any way.

May I suggest you contact our sister station, Rock 102? They don't have to be as
stuffy as we do since their audience is a little more tolerant.

I'm not a person who lets people walk over me for no reason...sorry. Too many people just bend over backwards nowadays as other people or just life in general walks all over them like they are worthless. People today as a whole are some of the biggest pussies ever. The way I see it, why get all pissed off? Hell, I know I'm not always right, but if I can offer a little advice from time to time (or every damn thread) I try to do so based on my beliefs. Others can choose to agree/disagree and that's fine as well.

If it came off as a bit "know-it-all-ish", I do apologize as it was not my intent. I was going originally post something like "you were a little harsh, there weren't you Joel?" but then I thought about it and concluded that the best response would be to maybe show the softer approach to the situation. Perhaps, even, Troy Dayton was going to read this section of the forum and see that there are a few people who do respond in a more positive manner going forward.

I feel I know Joel pretty well, and I think he knew I was more trying to provide some constructive criticism than anything. Heck, I APPLAUD Joel and his efforts. His heart is in the right place on this one and he deserves a TON of credit for putting this together. I would have liked to have helped a bit more myself, but family/personal/work constraints prevented me from becoming more active in this. My offer still stands though Joel, if you need any assistance with any of this, just ask.

I actually agree with torbs right here. Everyone is just sitting here complaining about how joel should have handled it differentyl blah blah blah. Yes he should have but i think after a couple ppl pointed that out it would be enough, he has a lot of things going on right now and he probably let his frustration take over and don't act like non of you have let that happen. It's called being professional, even though you may not always get the deal you want. You always want to try and keep good relations with customers/coworkers/dist./companies..... and stuff like that so that you do not loose them for things that may happen in the future.
