I just figured it was a sticker, did not realize it was etched in or how ever it is on there. But to me it looks similar to rice in that they put the 180SX stuff on the car, yet it lacks where it needs it most, the engine compartment. I am not knocking the car. Those additions are tastefully done. I think they look good. I am just saying that, like TypeR stickers, the 180SX additions beg me to look under the hood and I get disappointed.
I did see an aftermarket air intake and a colored valve cover under the hood.

Not all S13 240sx are hatchbacks. There are 240SX that are coupes. The counter part to that in Japan is the Silva. The Silvia in Japan is a coupe and does not have pop up headlights, but instead has the Silvia front end that is a common front end swap for the 240SX. The 180SX tail lights can be installed in a 240SX fastback very easily. Stickers on the side window can be installed easily also. Converting a 180SX to left hand drive and putting a KA24DE in it is retarded. The CA18DET is an old motor and when brought to the states it probably has not ran in 5-10 years. There typically will be gasket problems due to age and no use. With the SR20DET, most people go the cheap route and get an older version SR20DET. Spend the extra money and get a newer SR20DET in order to get one that doesn't have 15 year old gaskets. The RB26DETT is a very difficult swap. The RB25DET is a much easier swap, though it is expensive due to having to buy motor mounts, a custom driveshaft, and some other small things in order to install it correctly. The RB20DET can be swapped in with about the same amount of work as the SR20DET.

Here is a link to a beginning look at the common engine swaps available for a 240SX.

Any other info is easily accessible on the internet and 240SX forums. I knew nothing about Nissans till I bought my 240 this past summer. Then I got on google and did alot of research. I haven't had to ask questions because the info is readily available if you look for it. Ebay even has an article that is informative.

IIRC, in Japan you pay excessive tax and insurance penalties based on displacement, so a 1.8 or 2 liter is going to tend to be more popular than a 2.4 liter.

The big torque of the KA fits the perceived image of american roads and drivers better than a high-winding high power motor. Consider that honda ruined the F20C after a couple years in the US market by making the F22 and thus appeasing all of the "it has no torque" pussies we have here...

The RB can rev very high... 8000 rpm is stock i think... that's quite the feat for an inline 6.

the CA and SR motors may also be lighter than a KA which might be a consideration as well.

But lately 1/10 SR coming in from what i have scene requires rebuilds and more then that go boom with in 4-5months. Parts are way more available cause these motors have been modded in japan for over 10 years

KA is a very torquey motor. Just doesnt rev past 7k with out building the whole head. and if you have ever road in my car it doesnt need to rev past 7k well if i could it would be more fun. but it scoots the way it is

rb26 would require over 10k in parts to get running right, not including labor. unless you are a skilled fabricator and mod and go single turbo from the start.
