There's nothing else around that sounds like it.

I wouldn't change a thing on it. I'd love to have that sound eminating from my jellybean.

Some factory resonators are very restrictive and hinder airflow but alot of aftermarket exhaust systems that have resonators built in have a quality straight through design.
I had SLS do my exhaust and I love the sound. it sounds great but it's too loud for me so I'll probably add a resonator to mellow it out a little bit. The Thrush glasspacks make great resonators without restricting alot either. They are straight through and have a perforated core with noting protruding into the exh path. So it deadens the sound w/out alot of backpressure. As far as turbo cars go, even with no resonators and minimal muffling, they are alot quieter than their N/A counterparts. That's because the turbo itself acts as it's own resonator.

I was considering adding one to each side (I've got turbo back dual exst), to get rid of some of the raspiness.

Anyway, thanks for the help... I've got plenty of other stuff to take care of before them.

I'm sure your car is pretty quiet, don't loose that! If you can be fast and have a quiet car do it!

I'd assume that they are restrictive, and on a turbo car, the less restriction you have the more power you'll make

i read somewhere they cause backpressure and reduce power output...
That is a true statement, but sometimes backpressure is your friend (if naturally aspirated) and can actually help increase torque.

Sweet sig, but it's a bit big... all of us with slow computers can't handle it!
