You have to call for every part you want and half the time they will have to call you back (They will not really call you back, they tell you that though). Oh, and they won't pricematch anyone so basically they just want your money. The sad thing about it was they offered me the "Full" sponsorship, I was supposed to get $12,000 worth of parts free of charge....how they worked that was by saying "you buy the parts from us now at the regular sponsorship rates, then if you do well in the race/show circuit we will re-evaluate you and compensate you if you meet our criteria...."

People sign up and pay the fee, get shipped a sticker and what not.

Build an online catalog of parts... Get a source (some business) to give you a discount for quanity purchases.

Create a referal program for a payout of $10 for each member signed up.

Create a community such as a forum, as per signing up, have people go to 4 shows or whatever.

It seems like a good idea, if it could be done without ripping people off...

If you charged $89, say the decals cost $12 shipped to the person... then payout of $10 for the referal, administrative costs of a max of $5

That's a $62 dollar profit on each person that signs up, plus you get a continous profit from the parts that are purchased through your online catalog...

If you want to get sponsored, do it the way everyone has to: Build super fast or super clean car, win a lot of races and/or shows, talk to everyone you can meet in the industry and hope one of them likes you.

They give you a list of companies with websites and a corresponding phone number with a name. I decided to test it out and I called up one of these places asking about supercharger prices for an LS. I called once without the sponsorship acct pretending to be him; And then again (from a different number) about 30 min later asking for the exact same part. THE PRICES WERE THE SAME...not close to the same....but exactly the same. There is no discount, there is no "sponsorship." I think it's a bunch of companies that go together and direct business torwards one another."

Check that out.

Basically they charge you an $89 processing fee, and don't shell out any REAL cash, they just provide you with "wholesale" prices, but apparently they aren't so great prices.
