I could help out with it if you like, kind of hard to diagnose the problem over the interbutt. A few things. What is he/she trying to connect to? What I mean is, are they trying to connect to wireless internet like i29 or go moorhead via a dedicated card, or are they trying to connect to a wireless access point (router) that connects to cable internet? YES If they are trying to connect to a router, DHCP may not be enabled on the router, requiring each computer accessing the router to supply its own IP address and DNS information. If you have DHCP enabled on the router, the laptop should automatically be assigned an IP address when you connect. How do you enable the DHCP? Let me know if any of that sounds familiar or if you work it out. PM me if you need further help. I can make a house call if you are really hosed
