I think it's cool that the best minds in the industry cant stop a few tech savy hackers suc as AZN here from exploiting their vulnerabilities.

With iXtreme 1.4, theres not really any way to differ between real and burned games. The previous verisons had flaws and there were bans.

MS can also ban from variances in fan voltages and other mods...

More info @ http://www.xbox-scene.com

It's been proven that the bans that have taken place are from various ways the the xbox reads the disc, so if your nervous use a real game ONLY to play on live. But yes your correct, if your worried, don't take the risk.

There have been no reports of bans w/ iXtreme 1.4+

You should assume that by the time you read about it, MS was already thinking about how to check for it.

Common approaches basically involve shutting the modchip/functionality off when you want to do online play, but there are a variety of things MS can do to detect this.

I'm not saying that any particular product or approach is guaranteed to get you banned in 2 hours... just understand that if you ever plan to play online with that console OR the credit card linked to the gamertag you used... you're taking a risk.

MS has a team of people looking for modded xboxes on XBL. If you get caught, at minimum you'll be banned from XBL. There is also the possibility of your box being remotely bricked.

If you want to play with a modded box, don't hop on XBL.
