This is VERY true. You WILL work long hours most likely, but the pay is worth it. The work isn't that hard w/ modern farm equipment...the shit I grew up using, yes (think 1950's and 60's vintage tractors and such), this new stuff with the fancy radios, airconditioning, etc... relatively easy.

Call Prarie Staffing...

Don't get a job at horny b's...chances are you'll hate it as most people do. The majority of people that work there do so because they just don't think they can find a job anywhere else and/or it's where their friend(s) work (have you seen the day crew there?...yeah). Basically, most of the people I know hated it there...Do what you want to though

Maybe, but you also get a raise after 3 months 2 times, and then raises every 6 months. There are plenty of people getting paid very well there for the work they have to to.

When I worked there sometimes I'd work 50-58hrs/week and had paychecks well over $500 for one week (they pay weekly as of 2005 also). Just a suggestion.

Depending on your availability, they will most likely need stockmen(cart pushers) and Unloaders, and possibly anything else you might be interested in. You can apply online for this as well at walmart.com! The pay isn't the best but you never know you might like it better than food work.

How many more you want me to list? Seriously though, if you want a decent paying job, the KEY is a decent resume, solid references (use older neighbors instead of kids your age), willingness to START AT THE BOTTOM (Nobody owes you a high paying job, you have to earn that), and a professional appearance. This will mean dressing 1 step above the job you are applying for. By that I mean, if dress pants and a polo shirt are the minimum, show up wearing dress pants, long sleeve button down shirt, and a tie. Show up EARLY for the interview by about 15 mins. If you have to wait in the lobby, grab a magazine that deals with their industry and browse through it (oh, and always find out as much about the company your are applying for as possible BEFORE you get your interview), try and make a mental list of questions you want to ask the employer about the position (not "how much does it pay" but more like "So, who are some of the core customers you are trying to reach" or "What is the number one thing to know about this position"...) Always attempt to make eye contact w/ the interviewer and try to avoid using slang, regardless of how common it is. Don't be afraid to ask when you can start. End the interview with a firm handshake. If you haven't heard from them in 1 week, call them back to reconfirm your interest in the position.
