You can use the ETKA or ETOS (VW/Audi parts catalog system) to determine part # changes / supercession information, or call valley imports.  I don't have it installed on any machines currently, but it can be found on a few bittorrent sites.</p>
<p dir="auto">My understanding is that the S4 turbo failures mostly came from people modding the cars.  The K03 seems failure prone, but then again, it's ubiqoutous in VW/Audi applications so it may statistically be a reliable part.   Also oil-sluding claimed a large number of K03s in 1.8T applications from people using poor oil or OCIs.</p>

<p dir="auto">That said, the euro market RS4 used K04s, and K04s are a popular swap for US S4 owners.</p>
<p dir="auto">As far as I know, K04s are not standard on any US vehicle from VW/Audi.</p>
