i wouldn't be suprised if he lost, sure he may have been a ncca wrestling champ back in the day, but it's been awhile since he's done any real wrestling, and the ufc is a whole different ball game

Plain and simple. He never pursued WWE, they pursued him. Offered him a ton of cash so he jumped on it. Who can blame him? It certainly didn't hurt his push to the top in UFC, so it was a good career move for him.
