Further proof that sometimes a "good deal online" is not always all it is cracked up to be....and this isn't even the best example I've seen. All of the major brands seem to have knock-offs floating around out there, and they aren't the same quality as the original...not even close.

Sounds to me like they are trying to ride the USAmps name. Basically, if they are not authorized distributors of what they sell you run the chance of cheap knockoffs.

I should have known by the deal I was getting that something was up. I ordered 4 of them, 2 for each car. 2 of them the voice coils were already blown, 1 of them the tinsel leads were not attached, 1 was good. I called the company who sold them to me every day for about 3 weeks and never heard anything back from them until they sent me a letter saying to call harmon kardon (infinity). I called them, knowing that they wouldn't do anything for me, and it turns out that they had gone so far as to replace the original serial numbers (which are supposed to be etched on the frame of the sub) with some fake ones. Anyway, they told me that these people somehow get ahold of warranty returns and resell them as new. To my surprise, I gave them the information about the company, they told me to send the subs to them (on my dime, oh well) and low and behold about a month later I got 4 brand new subs. Anyhow, watch out for prices that seem too good to be true, they are. I am a fan of refurbished products though.
