Name is Dan Osman. Pretty much was a climbing bum. He was doing this stuff back in the early to mid 90's and solo climbing(aka climbing without a rope or safety devices) is now getting popular. Too bad he had to die doing one of his free falls.

i do remember the last few times i went to the Y, they had at least talked about changing the layout some.. but i don't remember it ever being different.

i heard rumor one of the fitness clubs in town has a climbing treadmill? I don't know which one, but somewhere up north. ..too lazy to look for it, but it sounds interesting.

Have you ever attempted the different routes that they have?

Its a little more expensive but worth IMO. $10 for 3-5 hour sessions.

I haven't been out climbing for a few years now - but it's great exercise, lots of fun, and you actually accomplish something (hopefully) in the end. Plus it's one of the few physical activities that actually makes my back NOT hurt.. i've been thinking I should just bite and join the Y for the climbing wall again, but I enjoy being lazy and not trying to fit into their BS schedule. meh.
