<![CDATA[Lazy Idiots Piss Me Off]]>Ok. So me and Shane just come out of hornbachers with a bunch of groceries getting somethin to eat for dinner and i notice... hey, theres a note on my window. Shane goes to look at it and it says

I witnessed a cart strike your car. the person responsible had a car with a personalized plate with the above name

my name is ... #...

the employer who removed the cart is ..... at hornbachers.

Shane and I go to look on the hood and HOLY FUCK

Called up the guy who saw it, some fuckin lazy ass dude pushed the cart supposedly "near the cart rack" and the wind caught it and the cart slammed into my shit and wedged in the front. the employee at osgood had to pull it off.

FUCKIN PISSED

and you know what fargo police department does? oohhhh its an accident with only "slight" damage but i'll do the accident report for you so you can put it under YOUR insurance

ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME!?!?

fuckin 1000 bucks worth of damages and i have to put it under MY SHIT.

Their car insurance will never pay for it as they were not in their car... I would get it paid for by your insurance company, they will go after the person who pushed the cart into your car, then sue them for your deductable.

If the vehicle is still being paid for, the bank will often demand that replacement parts be used, as it is a protection of their investment. Had there not been a dent, they would ok the repair. Basically (from what my Ins Co has told me), if it can't be fixed by PDR, they opt for replacement parts.

The hood looks metal from the pic so the insurance company would probably just have them bondo it and repaint it rather than buy a new hood.

to replace my bumper cover and have it painted was 900 dollars. and it went right to 1400 when they had to replace to bumper sub frame thing. im pretty sure a hood for a newer mazda is more expensive than my civic bumper cover.

I HIGHLY doubt most would fork over the extra cash to replace it with a carbon fiber hood. Alls they have to do is give you the money required to replace it to a certain industry standard, which are pretty lax as far as gaps, color matching, etc. Anything beyond that and you get to pay the difference.

Paint + Labor to paint my hood was only $375...Black might be easier to do than that blue though I guess, although it sure sucks to blend faded black to fresh black.

I can almost guarantee the estimate is low. The new hood will probably cost a minimum of $500(if its new from the factory). Add that to the minimum $500 in labor to prep and paint and BOOM! It only took one time getting my first 240 scratched up, and now I NEVER park near the door. I always make sure I got 6 or 8 open spaces around me.
