why would it be more accurate than a G-Tech Pro ? You're comparing a purpose built device to a phone that happens to have an accelerometer. It may be the case that the software timer in the iphone isn't high enough resolution to calculate this stuff accurately even if the hardware is sufficient (which it almost certainly isn't)

I'm guessing that app for the iphone and itouch need a weight input also. There would be a LOT more iphones here if AT&T didn't suck here.
