Custom is nice, Laske can make it fit nice and tight.

He designs and builds his own. He does everything from dirt track cars to welding up little holes in ic piping. He will do a great job and for a reasonable price. Definatly worth the money

Should save a lot of money. The ideal setup would be a weld-in unit where the tubes were cut, bent, and fisheyed for you already, and a competant welder assembles it in-car for you.

The reason is that cage design is hard if you want to do it right. I'm not at all saying that it is beyond anyone here, just that the design and setup is going to be 99% of the time invested. The welding/install is the easy part. Someone that designs and sells pre-made cages or cage-kits for your car has amortized that design and tooling time across lots of cages, so it should save you some dough.

I had a bolt-in half cage for my E30 BMW shipped to my residential address for around $600, IIRC.
