http://www.overbeeks.com

It is a local music / electronics page and I'm just not sure what to do with it.

I'm hoping that some people can take a look at it and give me some feedback that I can use to make it better.

My other big website (my baby) is http://www.clubredline.net

Just recently, in the newest version of Mozilla Firefox my navbar on the left side lost it's spacing and needs to be redone - caused by new definitions of how code is interpreted.

So, if you have a minute or are bored, please check out http://www.overbeeks.com . I would love to know what other people think of the site.

Thank you.

The flyer I should've said - for the show (I haven't pulled up the site again - it was that first big image).

What are your thoughts on the idea that if only a 200x300 image is displayed, you can not see much detail? I personally like to be able to see the little things. Won't you lose a lot of that if limit image size that much?
People are smart enough to know that if they want to see more - click the image. If there are specific details you NEED to see, crop the image.

It was built in Yahoo Site Builder, which is really a big bummer. I took over the project that someone else had begun. If I was to start from scratch today I would have used Joomla. I made the other site (clubredline) starting with code and then began using Dreamweaver but no content manager.

Use whatever you so desire - but if this is a 'business' you intend to be taken seriously with - stay the hell away from these wysiwyg editors (that includes design view on dreamweaver)

i personally prefer to just open notepad and start coding, but from the looks of it, you'll need dreamweaver

and this explains the fail for the content images (at least the banner). Do NOT force an image up in size - especially browser side - because the image quality goes to complete shit.

There is no reason to post huge images in your content like that (IMO). Thumbnails and one larger photo (when I say larger - 200x300ish or so) and wrap the text/content around it. If you want to explain more - take it to a new page and expand it (this is why I hate some of the blogs out there).

The horrible quality of the images in the layout its self hurts (both sites).

Buttons just look ehhhh.

general layout inconsistencies (widths of the orange is different - nav bar should continue down the page, etc).

And a hit counter? Those shouldn't even be allowed on teh internets anymore. Traffic data is necessary for the site owner and developer only - it's tacky otherwise.

and this explains the fail for the content images (at least the banner). Do NOT force an image up in size - especially browser side - because the image quality goes to complete shit.
