<![CDATA[Economy sucks(terminated from job)]]>sure sucks to get laid off due to money issues...I hate how managers never will take a hit but they sure dont have a problem f_cking with your lifestyle to better their own...last Weds I was told right at 5pm that I was being let go because they were loosing money and had to make cuts...only had 12+ years there

Tesoro stopped retail gas operations in ND because they didn't want to buy any new equipment, but were going to be required to do so by some environmental law changes or something like that.

I hope some other gas station goes in on that corner.. it was damn convenient.

I stopped at the loaf n' jug on university this morning... 91 was down to 2.99 a gallon... i had to check one of the other pumps to make sure i wasn't putting 87 in the car or something..

Tesoro refused to send us a gas load but wouldn't tell us why. Once we were finally completely out of gas the corporate big wigs came in and pretty much said "this store needs new tanks, pumps, and parking lot...tesoro doesn't want to spend the money so either buy the property (for an outrageous ammount) or get out so we can rip all of our stuff out, level the building and sell this prime piece of real estate." Jakes has now been closed for almost 2 months.

I got a call from my boss at 10:00 am on a day when my shift started at noon and he pretty much said "get a trailer so you can get your box out of here, tesoro is shutting us down today."

Same thing happened with expressway tesoro. As of last week they had already ripped the pumps/tanks out of expressway. Once that is done they are moving on to jakes.

yes....a month before that one of the advisors quit and went to work someplace else so now there is only 2 advisors for 11 techs

other than that, after tesoro shut jakes down I had to get a job that I hate so badly (and is so embarassing) that I won't even tell people where I work/what I do. Shops are staying busy, but not busy enough to hire anyone right now. 😞

the service managers like money and they would hafta take a pay cut or something along those lines to keep some imployees. instead the service managers keep the same pay and pace and get rid of an employee. i know that might not make sence but i know first hand what kelly (raider) is talking about.
