<![CDATA[Cracked rim??]]>So i was wondering if it is possible to fix a crack in a rim. well there are 2 cracks and both of them are on 2 different spokes. I can post pictures later if it helps to tell if they are fixable. also i am assuming i would have to take it to some place in the city or can someone do it in town?

Kinda funny because some one on another board told me that it was still usable and he knew people who drove on rims with cracks in them with no problems but your advise sounds more knowledgeable then his.

Youll never get the integrity of the wheel where its safe to use on the street. Like I said, if it cracked there and you fix it, will it crack again on another part? And, will it be worse next time? I have seen this before. Most wheel places if not all wont touch it as it is the main support strcture of the wheel. Just some fyi for you from experience.

thats what i was thinking about doing but having trouble find the rim in the same size and thats kinda the reason i was wondering about fixing it.

Wheelsamerica in Chicago repairs rims (I've had work done by them twice, highly recommended) but it's not worth it unless the rims are really expensive.
