CAI went in easy enough, piping for FMIC went in easy. So at about 5 I start trimming the bumper to fit the FMIC behind it. Sounds easy right? WRONG!! Using APS's template I start to trim the bumper...its only off by about 1 1/2 inches. So I try the template again (moving it forward about an inch and a half) still doesn't fit any better AND my rotary tools chuck makes contact with the paint and promptly removes as nice little section of paint. FUCK!!! Anyways, its about 10pm by this point, haven't even had breakfast yet, let alone supper, head to walmart to get some extra masking tape and some more cut off wheels for my dremel. Come home, get it REALLY FRIGGING CLOSE, but it still won't fit. Try cussing at it to see if that helps (it doesn't). Trim trim trim trim (burn paint again) trim trim trim trim (cuss again). 12 AM rolls around, I'm tired, cranky, hungry and upset that the bumper still doesn't fit, sit down at computer and find out I have a stupid virus.

Oh well, theres always the rest of saturday to figure this shit out.

Chuck

PS. Yes I do feel better now ends rant

I still have a tad more trimming to do (gonna try your method this time) but it's on the car now, it just looks like it was forced on a bit, so I definately gotta do some more to get it right.

I threw the template in the garbage as soon as I took one look at it and just started cutting until it fit. I found the thing that cut the easiest and the cleanest cut was a sharp utility knife and kept changing blades often.

So if I ever see him again ( moved to whap and havent seen him for a few months ) I could talk to him if anyone needs some body work done. He could touch up those burn spots for ya real nice.

Good luck on getting that FMIC mounted tomorrow I would love to see that huge shiny grin on your WRX.
