It sounds kind of like brakes squeaking, but that doesn't make much sense seeing as how I don't have to have my foot on the brake at all for it to make the sound. Then I thought it might have something to do with the tranny but then I realized the car doesn't even have to be in gear, simply rolling down a hill backwards will cause it to make the noise. It never makes the noise going forward. Anyone have any insight?</p>

could be a rock jammed between the rotor and backing plate.</p>
<p dir="auto">you could also try slamming on your brakes a few times to see if it cleans them off.</p>
<p dir="auto">your pad could be sticking too.  take them off and clean them.</p>

They use the standard rear interior drum, go under the car and check the lines and dust covers, pull out your center console and check the lines, last case scenario pull the brakes apart and check the internals</p>
<p dir="auto">You should also check the seating clips of your brake pads when you have the car up, make sure all the clips are there and holding tightly.</p>
