This should be a priority article on their page IMO. Confidence drives the market. If we want things to get better, we need confidence...it just doesn't make sense to me...it's almost like the media works against us/itself.

http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/230796/group/home/

Incase the link is weird(sent one earlier and asked to log in), it is about national retail sales being up a full 1% in January, largest increase in 14 months. December was down 2.7%, weakest holiday season since 1969. They have declined for 6 months straight, and were expected to drop another 0.8% in January.

Personally, thats pretty decent news. It's obviously not a fix, but it's not going to be one thing or event to fix it overnight, but some consumer hearing that will pass it on to someone else, etc.

Home Depot, the Company, owns it. So yes, Home Depot laid people off. U should see their compensation package... 4 months 100 percent of wages.

LOL. Get your facts straight. Do some research, then talk.
They closed all of the EXPO stores, which are not even really Home depot stores. They are high-end stores that never made the company money anyways. In Hard economic times the "Orange box" stores cannot support themselves, and another company. They haven't, nor plan to, close 1 regular "Orange Box". They froze the CEO's pay raise schedule, Slowed down the Store Manager and District Managers Pay raises, and didn't change anything about 99 percent of the stores employees.

So where are they closing Home Depots left and right?
