Here are some pics from my header install. They are Jet Hot's 1-3/4" primary Long tubes, no emsission equptiment. These were a bitch and a half to install. Here's a pic of them out of the car (sorry, I didn't snap a pic of mine, but these are the same)<br />
<img src="http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog/summaries/s334.jpg" alt="legacy image" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
Car goes up on the ramps.<br />
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Hazerd64/244085_63_full.jpg" alt="legacy image" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
Old headers come out<br />
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Hazerd64/244085_65_full.jpg" alt="legacy image" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
New headers go in<br />
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Hazerd64/244085_64_full.jpg" alt="legacy image" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Hazerd64/244085_68_full.jpg" alt="legacy image" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
I wrapped them in medical gauze first, so the finish didn't chip when putting them in.<br />
New plugs and over the valve cover wires go in, Hotchkis Strut brace goes back on, hook everything back up, and my once very clean engine bay is now crazy dirty.<br />
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/Hazerd64/244085_70_full.jpg" alt="legacy image" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
Time to clean.</p>
<p dir="auto">It seems easy, but was one of the most frustrating projects I went through. Basically, everything had to be removed, and I had to jack the passanger side of the engine up to get one side in.</p>
<p dir="auto">Results:<br />
5 busted knuckles<br />
1 busted snap on sockets<br />
1 busted dipstick tube<br />
1 busted dipstick<br />
1 dirty engine bay<br />
about 35 extra rwhp</p>
<p dir="auto">Oh yeah, and the K&amp;N oil filter is good for at least 20 hp at the wheels <img src="https://fargostreet.com/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f604.png?v=40430adaedb" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji--smile" style="height:23px;width:auto;vertical-align:middle" title=":D" alt="😄" /></p>

Ah, the joys of working on the 4th gen F-body. Those are nice looking headers, though. Did you use an off-road Y-pipe with those?<br />
I got a hooker 3 inch Y-pipe. I had the "massage" it to work with my headers/SLP exhaust.</p>

well, you might want to consider the bosch anyway, i cam across a comparison on dsmtuners one day that listed the bosch and wix filters as the two best. however... the wix is more than $10, and only mail order around here (i think)<br />
I've seen similar tests, but I never saw bosch in the running. Maybe I missed it.</p>

headers add 35whp, huh.... that would be nice<br />
It helps when you have a larger engine. The stock headers were bottlenecked quite a bit so the car would not make as much hp as the same year vette (same engine). Couple people (manuals) have clocked more rwhp than that.</p>
