So here's the scoop.</p>
<p dir="auto">Mike McGinnis from Innovative Tuning in New York would like to come to Fargo on the 18th and 19th to do some ECU tuning.  Mike specializes in Subarus, but also does Evos, DSM, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and SRT-4.</p>
<p dir="auto">The more people we have sign up for this, the cheaper it will be for everyone.  I'd like to see at least 10 people willing to get tuned by Mike...if we don't get enough, his trip won't be worthwhile for him, and too expensive for us, and I'll just tell him not to come.</p>
<p dir="auto">His travel cost is $1,000.  This would be split among the total amount of drivers getting tuned.  4 people, $250 each.  10 people, $100 each.  You get the idea.</p>
<p dir="auto">His tuning cost favors the customers.  He charges either per tune, or $1,000 per day of tuning, whichever is cheaper for us.  For example, the charge for a Subaru with Cobb ProTUNER to get tuned is $395.  If 2 Subaru drivers got tunes, they would be $395 each.  If 3 of them got done, this is more than $1,000, so the 3 Subie owners would take $1,000 and split it three ways...$333 per tune.  The more tunes he does in a day, as long as it's over $1,000 that day (which isn't hard to hit), the cheaper it is for us.  Cost per tune varies based on your car and your engine management program.</p>
<p dir="auto">This is a great opportunity to get our cars tuned by an excellent tuner. Include the year/make/model of your car, and a brief list of mods pertaining to the tuning process (intake, exhaust, injectors, turbo, camshafts, blow-off valves, yadda, yadda, yadda.  Especially engine management), and I'll do my best to get you a quote from Mike and put you on a tentative tuning list.  Please, seriously contributors only.  At Mike's request, I will be collecting payment from the individuals to be tuned before he comes out, to make sure no one backs out and leaves the other people eating a higher travel cost than they anticipated. <p dir="auto">Oh it will, im looking at what ecu to get and megasquirt is the best option for my needs and the cheapest. But if no one will tune it I will have to get something else, so thats what im trying to find out. I really dont want to tune it myself if I dont have to.</p>

<p dir="auto">DB failed to tune a 94-95 GT with a simple trick flow stage 1 camshaft.  The can ran worse when it left than when it came in.  DB tried to tell him that he needed to get a custom grind camshaft.  :bullshit:</p>
<p dir="auto">HiTech tuned it without an issue.</p>

<p dir="auto">I honestly didn't feel that confident with DB.  I think they do a fantastic job with Mustangs.  I'm not so sure about Subarus.  But who can ever say for sure?</p>

We did the motor break-in and driveability tuning.  Ron seems like a great guy, and happily educates you when your knowledge falls short...and the rest of the RS guys are pretty cool, too.  I have to say, I was INFINITELY happier pulling up to RS Motors and seeing the pure sex in the form of car candy in their parking lot (a number of Evos, STis, and others), compared to seeing NOTHING at DB Performance when I was there in December.  It reinforced the thought that I'd made a good choice.  I'm going back there tomorrow for the full throttle/full boost tune.</p>
