<![CDATA[jumped on the anti-weapons ban bandwagon]]>So i went to scheels today and lo and behold, there was 1 of the very gun i have been trying to order in for months. So, i couldnt let the opportunity pass up right? Bought it. Guy said it came in Wed. and he just put it out about 2 hours before i came in, said he doesnt expect them to get any more for at least 4 months.

DPMS Panther 7.62 (.308) Sportical, picked up a M4 stock, grip, and a green laser for it, great investment IMHO and i got it for cost, so win for me! I am going to dissasemble it and do a barrel lightning on the lathe sometime this summer to drop some weight, and get a bipod, I have a pretty good scope to put on it already if i feel like it.

yeah but the heavy barrel is nice cause with mine i can shoot off half a mag in a couple of seconds and still touch the barrel without getting burnt

We've had 20" comp hbars and also 16" regular barrels, the comp hbar was so much nicer to shoot, but then again i'm used to shooting target rifles... That and the thinner barrel one was rediculously hot after firing a couple shots..

I think i paid right at $1k or $990 or something for the rifle itself. I know there isnt any at gander mtn either i called around, thats why i bought this one i couldnt beleive they had one! They do have a couple AR15s left down here though There was 6 in the case when i got mine
