<![CDATA[$440,000 Amazement]]>Left work today, and heard a very crazy exhaust note pulling onto I29. To the delight of my ears and eyes, I ended up next to 1 of 604 Carrera GT's ever built on I29 and Main Ave:

For those that have never looked (I hadn't until tonight), the specs on this car are ridiculous:

  • 5.7L V10
  • 600hp
  • 0-60 in 3.5 sec, 0-100 in 6.8 sec
  • Carbon fiber reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite brake system, with 15 inch SGL Carbon disc brakes

That car has history, I mean that exact car showed Ferrari whats up, before the GT40's did it. That is the actual car that clinched the manufacturer's championship in 65, it's uber sexy and really fast, especially for something that's 44 years old.

if that is true his relationship with mercedes is probably strengthened slightly by his purchase of benz trucks

Something must have changed than, i was in there getting some parts for my benz last week and talked to a salesman about it, it had do not touch signs all over it, the salesman said it was sold. it was marked 299 thousand dollars and some change!!!

i guess there is a porsche car show tomorrow. and he was in town just for the day, i guess they had a deal at valley for everyone that bought a porsche from them to food and wine and some other things. at least that's what one of the managers said when he stopped into tintmasters.
