about time. Crucial Racing will be posting dyno reults soon. But 550whp capable it looks like for about the same price. Definately some good stuff. Time to bust out the piggy bank I've been waiting on

Someone once told me (and I could be wrong here) that the guy doing the tuning was the tuner from Elite, and has a good rep as being able to tune about anything. They are only setup to work with the UTEC at this time, but I'm sure if you showed up w/ something else (Vishnu/Link/Delta/Element, etc) and had the software they would work with you to tune it.

I'll let you know just how good they are after this weekend. They told me ~340 to 350 WHP on pump gas is possible and ~370-380 WHP on c16 should be doable as well. Those are THEIR numbers, not mine. I'm happy w/ any HP # as long as the car is tuned to its potential. Thats all I really want.

The only reason why I'm interested with Dan is he's a well known member on a couple forums (IE clubwrx.net, Nasioc, etc) and seemed to do quite well with Shanes VF34 setup. What kind of experience does the person your going to have and on what kind of setups does he tend to prefer? Definately interested as Minneapolis is just a weekend drive, while MI is planning out a vacation.

the easy street auto transmission is supposedly bulletproof. The mixed reviews I've heard from easystreet is that their dyno reads insanely low (like 100whp below everyone elses).

actually, someone (can't remember who now) is making a semi-closed deck built 2.8 liter shortblock engine for like $7500 (I could be WAY off on that price, it just stuck in my head). The same place also does crazy head work as well for a fair price (relatively speaking) so I'll probably just get a long block from them.

Still looking on new tranny perhaps dogbox, I've heard mixed reviews on the easy street. But this project won't go in till next winter, I just bought another car this weekend too, my Toyota Camry Solara I'll have pics of it soon. The guy who sold it to me is from washington and his son has a silver wrx, that I actually saw in Detroit Lakes too, maybe I'll have to tell him to get on the forums. You up for a little race this week Tjamz? Just to see how good the tune is now on my car and some little issues fixed I wanna see how it handles against your FP turbo.

The stock motor will not handle 550WHP. PERIOD. Nor will your 5spd transmission. Before you order this I would be prepared to drop about $9k in part to make your car stong enough to handle this much power. Such as: New Pistons, Rods, Cams, Headwork (port & polish, new springs, retainers, etc..), at a minimum you will want dog box gears. Not to mention you will most likely need to upgrade your clutch. Not to mention the lag you will undoubtedly have from spinning a monster turbine, so add N2O to the cost of that as well. Of course there is always labor involved if you don't do all your own wrenching (and I'm assuming you don't as you stated a while back that someone else modded your injectors for you).

Besides, I thought you told me you had a 16g already? isn't that a FP turbo or did you go w/ rallispec or greddy?

My next MAJOR engine upgrade will be a stroked and sleeved EJ257 w/ a 2.8 litre displacement, JUN cams...basically what easy street has done to their wrx, only beefier. Oh, and easy streets transmission as well (or a prodrive one...mmm...9 speed automatically shifting manual transmission...time to start selling kidneys). Needless to say this won't be happening for at LEAST a couple of years...unless some shop in town wants to sponsor all my parts...LOL;)
