<p dir="auto">You mean GSM. Verizon sold off this area of the country to AT&amp;T which is GSM. 3g=standard of technology, not service...</p>

<p dir="auto">Verizon owns alltel iirc. Just not in this area because otherwise it would be a monopoly.</p>

<p dir="auto">Agreed, but if you look at full retail on a phone like this is about $499. If you dont want to extend your contract, this is the way to go. Good luck with the sale.</p>
