The old hemis were way underrated. Many of the other motors from that era were overrated however.

It's damn neer impossible because of the tire technology back then. 450 hp on a 7 inch wide, hard as a rock tire isn't going to do much for traction. I have seen some older hemi's do very well with slicks, but I have never heard of one of them hitting 10's stock, unless they include dealer performance parts (headers, better heads, etc.)
