<![CDATA[DC power jack on laptop yanked out...any have this happen?]]>My wife went to run up stairs while I had out laptop (which is about 8 months old) out and charging, tripped on the power cord, and yanked the DC power jack out of the computer.

What are my options to fix this?

It's a Toshiba.

That should be no problem. Open the computer up and plug in the new connector... if the pins were pulled out just match up the wires and solder them right to the board.

And you can install MacOS on your Toshiba...which is pretty much the only difference between the 2...other than price.

REGARDLESS OF WHAT HAPPENED.....the actual jack it's self is gone, and a peice of plastic went with it.
