that a logical assessment for people who daily drive their car... if it is raining you should probably reschedule the highway pulls anyways.

I see what you are saying, but people that would be interested in the NT05R, would be looking for more contact patch vs. how a drag radial will do in adverse (see: not drag strip racing) conditions. If a particular customer likes to drive on the street with drag radials, then they would be wise to look at the 555R's. From a business standpoint, I can only imagine Nitto as a company would laugh at someone that would bring up "it would suck in the rain" I think the design of the NT05R is more concerned with created a better Drag Radial for the drag strip, than a Street/Drag Radial...especially when they already have that in the 555R, which continues to add more sizes.

yes, that is whats in demand. BUT, look at the picture, they have created another drag radial that will be impossible to drive in the rain since it has almost 0 tread. If you look at the mass markets, 18"-20" wheels are what is demanding a radial. Chargers/Challengers/Camaro/Mustangs all come 18"+. This isn't a big deal to the old school folks (most of us), but in the bigger picture, this is a great option for those with big brakes or using factory wheels for the strip.
