Car: 2000 VW Passat Wagon GLS V6 5 Speed.
VIN: WVWND23B2YE250874
Mileage: 102,xxx
Ext Color: Reflex Silver
Int Color: Gray Leather
Drivetrain: FWD, 5 speed
Engine: 30 valve 2.8 liter V6. 190hp, 200 ft/lbs
Asking Price: $5500

Things that are cool:

newish continental all-season tires on factory alloys

snow tires: green diamond "icelander" carbide snow/ice tires on steel rims
-- I also have a set of blizzak WS-50s with plenty of the "good" compound left that fit on these rims that I can include for a few extra bucks

heated seats

heated exterior mirrors [euro-spec wide angle mirrors! bling!]

factory roof rack and carrier bars

factory 6 disc changer, factory radio

1 set of VW factory LATCH lower anchors installed for holding your car seat snugly (a 2nd set can be added)

vw passat "monster" rubber mats [the ones that hold like a liter of water/slush/etc]

two factory keyless entry keymotes, 1 valet/service key

Usual cool features; one touch windows, sunroof, glovebox cooler, heated washer jets, etc

Steady diet of Mobil 1 0W40

I checked the rotors and pads when I swapped the winter tires on this fall.. they have plenty of thickness left

You can change the oil and filter on this car without jacks or ramps

it's a wagon, and the back seats are pretty big. It holds a ton of stuff but gets good gas mileage and doesn't drive like a truck

I'll throw in a EuroSwitch if I like your offer

Things that are lame:

front undertray is missing [but it makes oil changes easier!]

will need a timing belt job at 105,000 miles

CarFax, if you run one, may or may not show a police-report accident.
-- A lady tapped the rear of the car a couple years ago, and that led to either a new bumper cover or a bumper-cover sand/fill/paint, done by advanced auto body.
-- I don't remember if there was anything from before 2003, which is about when we bought it.

The picture is from when we got it ~7 years ago. It looks like that now, except now its wearing winter rims and is filthy from winter driving. But it cleans up well

We're the 2nd owner; we bought it in Seattle w/ 24k miles on it. Car is in good shape, and has been my wifes daily driver since 2003. I've done the maintenance on it and will include the manuals I have -- a paper one and the Bentley CD.

The asking price seems to be inline with other Passats of this year on minneapolis craigslist. This one has better features and the transmission you want, as well as 2x set of rims and tires, and it's in town.

I need to get it cleaned up and sold ASAP -- I have 30 days from the purchase of my van to get this off my insurance, so that clock started ticking already.

No, I won't finance this for you.
No, I won't take payments.
No, I won't trade for anything you have except cash.

Someone that makes me a good offer soon and does so without a bunch of extra drama will get a good deal.

Someone that brings me a buyer who completes the sale on time and without drama [i.e. "i can't pay"] will [b]get a $250 finders bonus[b].

This is a great affordable car for a young/new family, or its your winter beater. It's what we took our son home from the hospital in.

Thanks for reading.

PS: I bought a used Honda Odyssey. I love hearing the vtec. I can hear it all the time, no matter the mods.
