But could you get a DVD/nav unit in the stock location on my Impala, its a double DIN, make it look factory and work with the steering wheel controls, and Bluetooth? Not so worried about cost, I'm guessing around a grand, just if its possible.

And yeah, I've done the onstar/chime thing. Very easy to do, it just plugs in. Steering wheel volume control/track control/etc... is pretty straight forward too.

To convert a nav-ready piece to a navigation piece you need AVIC-U220. I don't have pricing on this unit yet however.

AVH-P4200 is the one I'd recommend, primarily because they have a full size screen, and the ability to add navi later if you want....and they have high output RCA's.
