The Speed Channel should change its name to all NASCAR all the time. There is rarely any motor sport on there I want to watch. DTM, ALMS, Australian V8 Supercar (those fuckers are crazy), any Rally, Baja, Dakar, pikes peak etc, MotoGP, JGTC, how's about a little drifting? All of them combined get 10% of the air time fucking NASCAR gets. I don't want to hear about licensing, because most of them already air on Speed, and I realize that NASCAR is a big cash cow. So make it its own fucking station for the tooth less hicks that want to watch it, give me one with supermoto, or those semis they turn into racing rigs, hell even Indy is more exciting than NASCAR. I was flipping back to it tonight about every hour or so hoping to see something good and all I got was coverage of the grand opening of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and NASCAR and Craftsman Truck races from last weekend wtf!? I'm about this close to telling my TV to skip that god damn channel.

Gordon is a very good driver, no doubt about it, he has also stated that he would love to run in F1 if given the chance so that he could race with the best of the best.

And your point? It has been said many times that F1's biggest fault is there's to many secrets. Everything is secret mods this and secret mods that. It's pretty much a engineer's wet dream but is BORING if your watching it at home.

I won't defend F1 because I somewhat agree with you although you have a very biased opinion and I'm not sure why, but this thread was never meant to be F1 vs. NASCAR. My main contention is that NASCAR is taking up air time that could be better used showing live races from series like DTM, Aussie V8 supercar, JGTC, MotoGP, etc. etc. There are many, many, many, many, many more races I would rather watch than a re-run of a goddamn NASCAR race.

Dude your soo out of it if you think all NASCAR is people wrecking. Usually the only crashes are caused by flat tires. Hey man if you like watching follow the leader for a couple hours though thats cool with me. You know a NASCAR driver by the name of jeff gordon drove one of those cars once, and the very first time he got in the car is was very close to the pole qualifying time of the last race. Nascar drivers must just be hicks who play demolition derby.

And if precision gets you excited you have other problems. Like i said those guys are all good drivers but not very fun to watch. And thats kinda the point of it being on tv. Watching.

You know what is super exciting to watch, MotoGP, DTM, and Aussie Supercars. Rally racing can drag on but all they need to do is show the dash cam a little more. Speaking of drag why is there no drag racing on Speed? I can't recall ever seeing Top Fuel, Funny Cars, or Pro Stock cars/bikes on Speed. ESPN has it pretty regularly so I can't bitch too much but when your channel is dedicated to motorsports professional drag racing is a pretty big deal to just leave out.
