<![CDATA[Got Wax??]]>Q: Why should I wax my car?
A: Waxing your is best insurance to protect your car's finish. Wax keeps most contaminants from reaching the paint and starting a chemical reaction. Wax diffuses (refracts) both UV and infrared radiation from the sun. UV and infrared is absorbed by the pigment in the paint causing it overheat, dry out, dull and oxidize over time. A waxed car will actually have a lower paint surface temperature than an un-waxed car. It was a Silver 2000+ Silverado... They didnt really Teach me anything .. they told me how to hold it and how much compound to use. You learn best by just going at it... you may burn the paint if your not careful with using that buffer but if you turn down the speed you should be fine when learning. Note: do you learn how to buff on a Dark Color Car!!!

The Mytee HP60 runs about 1100.00 and the hp 100 runs about 1400.00

I wish I could afford an extractor. Isn't that like a grand for one? Until then I will just make everyone take there shoes off when they get into the car.

EDIT: How did you learn on the rotory? Did they let you practice on junk cars first? or did they have someone supervise you to prevent you from thinning the paint?

Sounds like a good process you have. It's good to see you actually know what your doing and are not justs slapping on some turtle wax with an off brand swirl machine. Was it hard to get the hang of the DeWalt?
