I have looked through a few sites to find something that would suit me, but there are so many options out there. I mainly use the bike for commuting with a little spirited driving on some twisty roads in lake country here and there, so a good wearing tire is important. I am just looking for ideas/suggestions on what I should look at (brands, specific models, whatever.) Also, where in town is a good place to have tires mounted/balanced for a bike? Thanks in advance.

Couple options, if you do a lot of straight to mild corner riding and lots of miles something like the Avon Storm 2 or the Pirelli angle/demon tire is best, get lots of miles out of them and can corner well on them but don't try to drag knee, or drag race. If you want something with a bit more traction (plan on a few passes at the strip or some harder corners) go to a Michelin Pilot Power or if even more cornering a Pilot Power 2CT.

I can mount but until I have a building to set up shop I don't have a balancer.

Can you get tires? PM me with info. I'm leaning towards the Pilot Powers.
