I was thinking about getting all cobra 29 ltds with good mics and external speakers. Also, i heard alot of places will tune your cb before you buy them? What does that include and how does that make them better?

If you are going to drop the cash on all new CB equipment...... You MUST get a SWR meter and tune your antennas, If your antennas are not properly tuned you will shorten the life of the output transistors and they may no longer transmit.
Here's a couple links for you...
