I'm probably buying a 91 eclipse GS 5 speed that had a timing belt go, bent valves carnage etc. I believe it has the 420a 1.8 sohc how hard would it be to swap in an n/a 4g63? The original plan was to fix it then sell it, I still might but I started thinking about keeping it, to replace the impala as my dd, and getting what I really want.

Besides, if you had bothered to read, the actual question I asked was what would a swap to a 2.0 DOHC entail. I have access to parts for both for basically a song and dance.

Besides I probably won't keep it, I'm not a big fan of 4 cylinder engines or front wheel drive, but I'm basically being given this car that has a few mechanical issues and peeling clearcoat but otherwise is in good shape. I should at least double what it costs me to fix it if I sell it, since I have access to most of the parts ill need for next to nothing. The only way ill consider boosting it is if I decide to keep it, or if I can sell it for that much more.
