<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Blurr 2011]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">After the fairly catastrophic engine failure at the end of last year,  :icon_scratch:  I'm having to start from scratch again with a new engine. Picked up a used longblock a couple weeks ago and disassembled it.  It was in nice shape and hopefully will be a good starting point for an engine that stays together for several years.</p>
<p dir="auto">I had some billet main caps made, these things are BEEFY! Machinework is great, I think the crank will break long before these caps break.  My carrillo's from last year got all beat up from shrapnel, so I switched to billet aluminum rods this year, and then some new 10.7:1 JE's to top off the shortblock.  I have to clearance the block for the big end of the rods, and then fill the block and bring it to the machine shop.  Here are some pics of the goodies.</p>

There are too many variances from block to block to be able to make the cap a perfect fit without boring it after it's installed.</p>

I noticed the block has a bearing in it and it appears the cap with no bearing covers about half the width of the bearing, or is it just the picture?</p>
