I learned that Reeds in Walker has by far the best prices on guns. They advertise the guns at a price very similar to local Gander/Scheels but unlike those two, Reeds will deal with you on the price. I saved $150 on my last handgun I purchased by going through Reeds...even after paying the $20 to have it shipped to Moorhead.

Itasca is a state park, MN has always allowed CCW permit holders to carry in state parks. It was legal to carry in federal parks too up until Obama was elected and passed an exec. order banning it. Republicans then put a clause in the credit card bill Obama passed like 2 years ago that re-allowed CCW permit holders to carry in federal parks.

If that wholesale sports place is still having a "going out of business sale" go there and grab a bag. I got a $200 Asolo 0° bag for 100.

X2 on the regular tent so you can use it any time, without needing a truck.

If you camp on the other side of Annie Battle Lake there is nobody there, and motor boats are not allowed. Last time I was there I didnt see any other groups. Only way to get there is either canoe or a hike. Bunch of nice trails if your into hiking and the lake is pretty nice if you find a sandy spot. Plus if you fail at gas stove cooking you can drive to Zorbaz or whatever.
