No need to change the basic corvette DNA. If GM really develops a dry sump, v8 turbo, 3 liter engine that winds to 10,000 rpm, and they offer it as a crate engine, that will be very exciting, irrespective of what happens with the corvette.

The list of cars that wouldn't be better with a turbo v8 that spun to 10k is very, very, short.

My guess is that they will have the small displacement turbo engine as an option and then still have the V8 and see what sales show as far as demand goes.

This is only the start, my friends. The days of testosterone breathing beasts is over. The name of the game is efficiency now. This means less hp and less weight. Smaller turbo/sc engines are the answer to achieve this efficiency.

Its a good thing In my opinion, even though nostalgia for huge 5.0l+ engines in around corner.

Any spies/renderings on the car? It better be good lol

I can see how it could become the go to motor of power goers being already boosted but then again just go turbo with the LS motors.
