Sorry if its been posted before but I just found this. The proposed location is about an hour between Minneapolis, Duluth, and St. Cloud. Still a 3-4 hour drive, but better than the next nearest one (Nebraska right?)

I guess they only have a couple more things pending before they can start construction. Man, that track looks hot.

Not any more they don't. AARRF has been banned from St. Cloud and (unless things have changed in the very recent past) will not be running there this year. I guess the state doesn't like it when people break into the track just because someone is running a 1/2 hour late and can't be there to open on time.

affirmitive, although that's not nearly as big I don't think. And IIRC there's also a "track" similar to the MNHP site down in Bloomington...

BIR is still operational...

but aside from that, MAM is NE (Actually it's on the NE/IA border I believe) I believe is the next closest track (430 miles) and then Road America (550 miles).
