No help from the parents what so ever.  Posting this becuz im looking at picking up an 02 Jetta GLS 1.8T and we did some number figuring and its going to be about 508 bux a month with insurance and loan payment.</p>

<p dir="auto">i haven't heard of that but you do get 150 a month for a combat pay then somtimes a 100 a month more for hazardous area for the whole time your there thats what i got and i think they raised it since i was there i was getting close to 2000 a month tax free and i didn't spend more than a couple hundred a month while i was there except the 500 a month on bills back home i save a lot</p>

I'm used to being raped on insurance i guess.  Just 500 seems like a lot a month. Ive always paid my own shit, so o well.  Its just part of life i guess.  Be about 550 a mont for insurance, car payment, and cell bill.  I do live at home.  This summer wont be so bad and im only gonna go to college part time here i think. So it wont be THAT bad.  i dont know . Just thought id rant.</p>

<p dir="auto">how about if you post again after you've had the car for a few months and gotten several tickets, when your insurance company tells you that you'll be dropped after another ticket?<br />
i hope you're not trying to get any sympathy, because paying $500+/month (what are you, 17? 18?) at your age for a car is stupid, especially when it's by choice.  buy a $1000 car and save yourself a lot of grief</p>
