<![CDATA[Rant about the cruise.]]>I'm not a person who cruises. I'm not a person who hangs out with the local car scene, I like the cars, but the whole attitude that often comes with the cars pisses me off. Anyway, I did decide to connect with the cruise last night, and it wasn't too bad, except for one thing. When everyone was at Kmart the cops showed up. They didn't approach us, they didn't have their lights on, they didn't tell us to leave, yet everyone scattered like a scene out of a street racing video. Most people were just walking to their cars, but I saw quite a few full out panic and run like a tornado was behind them, all I could do is laugh. Personally I think that makes us look more suspicious than if we would have stood around until they asked us to leave or until they decided that we weren't doing anything wrong and they left. Maybe things have changed and everyone has become afraid of talking to cops but this isn't how it used to be. We used to wait until the cops would show up (generally like 5-10 cop cars), they would wander through the lot and make sure there was no drinking/drugs/fighting and if anyone was smoking they would check ID, if they asked us to leave, we would, but more often than not they would see that there was nothing wrong taking place and they would leave. Hell one night we even brought a couple grills down to the lot and when the cops showed up they got free supper. I don't know how anyone else will feel about this but I'm sure everyone's response will probably be the same as every time I post (eg. you suck, you are retarded, this thread is pointless, ect...). I would like people to actually respond to this in a MATURE manner so I can figure out what the hell has changed in the last 5 years.

I've only made it out with the group once and that happend that night too. Someone yelled "cops cops cops" and everyone ran to their cars and took off, just like a scene out of fast and the furious. It was kinda cool, but really dumb. When me and the person I was following left we saw a few people get pulled over for spinning out leaving, or so i'm assuming. I'm new to the scene in fargo and my car isn't anything speacial yet, but I'm learning as I go and would like to be able to talk to a few people when the group actually stops moving.

people just gotta stop rippin out of places, thats not gonna get you too liked with cops and shit, and the people who do it now, usually get talked to about it.
And, the ambulance probably called cops over to check on us, incase shit happened

But I do agree..I've only been out once where the cops showed up and everyone scattered then. But I do agree if we aren't doing anything wrong there is no reason to freak out.

They even drove around our group of cars checkin the cars out too, then the 2 cop cars showed up about 5 min later. They probably just wanted to check and see that nothin bad was happening, otherwise i doubt they woulda sat there and watched they would have just came right into the group and done somethin. I just left because someone said 19th taco bell and didnt want to get left behind and i think thats what about 90% of the other people were doing to.

And it is true, back in the day we did cook hot dogs, and grill out there, hell i even brought some beef, and yes the cops came out, and i even shared my food with them. I understand it was cold, and no one wanted to be left behind. But hell if we stay out there, and B.S. with them, maybe we can get them to not fuck with us all the time, you know...
