Not only was it about the easiest thing to go wrong on an engine, but it went out right next to an autoquest. So i got the whole thing fixed in less then 15 minutes. But the really funny thing was that when I had my hood up just off main ave two guys in a red ford truck drove by and yelled out, "imports suck!" all I could do was laugh cause it's a domestic and it's a ford, the same make they were driving. Some people need to learn cars better before they judge.

Daly, first off, there is not a camaro or any other car for that matter to compete with the mustang, they are kinda on their own, second, Ford designs mustangs with the aftermarket in mind so that you don't have to pay corvette price to make them faster than a vette, they now have in place a data sharing program for easier after market stuff, third, supercharging they thought was better due to no lag and of course the low end torque that comes with them, and finally, you don't need a bigger motor when you can build one that can handle 2000 hp, you just need to worry about the other parts that will break. My .02 cents as a mustang lover, now that I know what jdm stands for, I can pick on it if you like

I know, I do like mustangs, but just as a mech/tech, really hate working on fords in general. Mustangs really need superchargers, as my car does too. IMO, Mustangs shouldn't come with less than 8 cylinders, as with the Camaro, Vette (I know, it doesn't, but just to put in category)....to me, these are all great domestic cars, known for their history. And yes, you can make fun of my JDM too, if you feel the need to.

You're right and I think it's because in general Americans don't like 4 cyl cars and revving them to get power. They want power low in the RPM range. Look at just about any American car, particuarly GM ones. Until very recently they were always strong on the bottom end but awful up high. They always feel great from a stop light but really just make a lot of noise high in the RPM range
