Walls Rod and Custom
Mustang Dyno

Went to Walls rod and custom today and had an awsome day. First of all I went there with 6psi with no tuning and ran something around a 140-150hp run with no fan blowing on the intercooler. In the end I ended up putting out 238 hp and 218ft. lbs. @ 11 psi. Than i set up my car with less agressive timing and ran 231hp and 207.4ft.lbs. @ 11psi. than i took some 1/4 mile runs for the hell of it. The first run I ran a 13.2@107mph with a 2.7 60 foot and the second run I ran a 13.3@112mph with a 2.9 60 foot. Must I add with shitty all-season street tires.

My set-up

Stock rebuilt d16a6

NuFormz block guard

d16z6 head gasket

300zx t3 turbo

Turbosmart ultragate 35mm

Custom manifold, charge pipes, downpipe and intercooler (garage biitz, Doug)

8:1 vortec fmu

370 rc injectors

SUPERCHIPS chipped ecu (PM6)

Turbo XS type H bov (P.O.S.)

NGK R (2 step colder) plugs

si Tranny with a centerforce clutch and the rest of the car is stock.

OH AND MUST I ADD I ran A/F ratio's around LOW 11's and MID 10's ... meaning VERY RICH and a 6psi wastegate spring.

looking to lean out my A/F ratio's a bit more and run my full 15psi looking to get an HONEST 300hp, and after I change my ring land's

I have to say thanks soo much to...

-Rodney Thompson (-Kangarod-) from crown Acura for all the parts such as the wastegate and all the other help.

-GarageBiitz (Doug) for helping me out with my first turbo setup doing the charge pipes, made the intercooler, manifold, downpipe, heat shield and is the only one who drinks OV beer with me, awsome person to deal with and does a PERFECT job.

-Brian Wall from Walls Rod and Custom (awsome guy to deal with and one of the if not the best shops around, super nice state of the art dyno, really reasonable costs and an all-round awsome atmosphere to tune in, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.)

-And most of all Danny Dunning founder of OVERBOOST SPORT TUNING, for all his help and even putting up with my noobness. And of course his tuning, which he knows alot about, hes even becoming a pro at TurboEdit for the non-obd cars and uberdata for the obd1's. If it wasnt for him my car would still be a 15.3 second single cam.

Have dyno sheets to prove all numbers and video's to show 1/4 mile runs, soon to be uploaded to the computer.

Thanks to all the help

Or like 600 whp and run mid 9s, right Dave?

Its as much about the power as how you put it down and how you drive it.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing to my d16a6. Those numbers are very impressive. You could pull on a b16 easy.

Is this car your dalydriver? If so what psi do you run when your just crusin?
